Founder, Designer, Artisan
John Wicks grew up in a close-knit family that nurtured both creativity and thought. His mother, an artist, and his father, a theologian, instilled in him an appreciation for beauty, craftsmanship, and purpose—a balance of art and intellect that continues to shape his work.
Drawn to form and material, John studied sculpture at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. While there, he received early recognition when Southern Living featured a mantel he crafted from a campus tree, highlighting his instinct for turning meaningful materials into purposeful design.
After graduation, he traveled the world, gathering inspiration from the cultures, architecture, and landscapes he encountered. These experiences broadened his artistic perspective and fostered a deep appreciation for exotic woods and refined craftsmanship.
